| Community safety conference in Kosovo |
| February 2009 - Saferworld and our partner in Kosovo, the Forum for Civic Initiatives (FIQ) hosted a conference on community safety in Pristina. Over 50 people attended, including from our six community safety sites, donors, international and local organisations, police and government representatives. The event aimed to share experiences and lessons between communities and different agencies running community safety projects in Kosovo. It provided a good opportunity to feed into ongoing discussions on the development of national-level strategies on community and school safety. Most significantly, the panel consisted only of community representatives, giving them a rare platform from which to address government and donor agencies directly.
