Donor’s visit to Kosovo

December 2008 - Since September 2006, the Government of Germany has supported small arms and light weapons (SALW) control in Kosovo through its relationship with Saferworld and the SafePlace Project. Working in partnership with the local non-governmental organisation Forum for Civic Initiatives (FIQ), Saferworld has focused on improving community security and bolstering SALW control in Kosovo at local and national levels. In December, Michael Hasenau from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Kosovo to learn more on our engagement, the relationships and reputation we have built during this time in Kosovo.
